Gina Garza is a dedicated, imaginative textile artist and art educator ​with over a decade of experience. She earned her MFA in Drawing and ​Painting from Texas Woman's University and a BFA from the ​University of North Texas. Currently, she serves as a Visual Art ​Educator at Garland Independent School District, where she inspires ​and guides students from diverse backgrounds and abilities.


Gina also brings valuable industry experience from a summer ​internship in textile product development with Perennials and ​Sutherland. During this internship, she honed skills in client color ​matching, trend forecasting, and designing original artwork for rugs ​and fabrics.


Beyond her teaching career, Gina is an active artist with a broad ​exhibition history, both locally and internationally. In 2019, she was ​honored with an artist residency in Barcelona, Spain, where she further ​developed her artistic vision. She also regularly teaches at Oil and ​Cotton, a creative studio offering workshops for both children and ​adults. Gina’s mission is to share her passion for art, nurturing a ​culture of creativity and self-expression.
